Forbidden Dimensions by C G Browne

Primitivism, Prehistory and the Posthuman Era

After years of research into the psychology of the primitive mind and comparative studies of modern psychology predominant in the west today, the book begins with a conclusion: a primitive perception of reality is entirely different to that of the modern mind.

From the start, the book challenges the conventional idea that the modern mind has a primitive root. For a primitive psychology, the concept of 'development' is distinctly absent. Such a mind---and indeed primitive society as a whole---is actually structured not to change. We see this demonstrated in the most fundamental developmental boundaries that primitive people are unable to cross, such as literacy, numeracy, and food storage. From this perspective, the psychological disparities between 'primitive' and 'civilized' are examined and alternatives to evolutionary theories and the construct of linear time are also explored.

Technology is a principal subject of this book. According to our understanding of the physical laws of our current reality, Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids should not exist. The Neolithic Age was clearly rife with experimentation and change. During this extraorindary time, primitive life principles that had been adhered to for millenia were eradicated almost overnight by a single distinct intention to change the world.
