At Ravine Press, we believe that mainstream publishing no longer serves original and pioneering writers. Ravine Press has been created by industry professionals as a voice for far-sighted and outspoken authors whose ideas are often too unconventional for mainstream publishers to risk promoting. The low overheads of digital publishing and the revolutionary ebook format allows us that privilege. The advance in display technology over the last decade also means our readers no longer have to suffer a poor quality digital reading experience.
While we embrace unusual themes and concepts in our books and authors, their literary quality is paramount. As an independent publisher of ebooks, we are aware of the industry churning out bad writing for the sake of sales and sensation. But we select our authors for their ability to produce perceptive, challenging, and thought-provoking writing, and to a high standard. We choose distinctive writers we are proud to promote and whose stories and ideas provide enlightenment, knowledge, inspiration, and an alternative perspective on life, society, and culture.

Help us save trees
Digital publishing is environmentally friendly. Ebooks not only save trees, but they also eliminate pollution caused by the shipping and production of paper books and they reduce the energy required to dispose of them. Paper and printing is costly, for us and for the trees (for every 60 ebook downloads, approximately one tree is saved). At Ravine Press we endeavour to make high-quality digital books that are just as enjoyable to read as physical ones. We do, however, produce our best-selling titles in paperback.
